Mikhail Shevelev

Born in 1959, Mikhail Shevelev graduated from Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, and worked until 1990 as a translator and interpreter. From 1990 to 2005, he first worked a reporter, then as a deputy editor of The Moscow News weekly. From 2001 to 2002, Shevelev published and edited The Samizdat satirical magazine.
Today, Mikhail Shevelev is a freelance journalist covering political and social issues for Radio Liberty, Big Politics magazine and Top Secret newspaper (Moscow).
