Nikolai Kononov (b. 1980) is a Russian writer and journalist. His investigative reports and op-eds won multiples professional prizes and were published in The New York Times, Quartz, Zürcher Allgemeine Zeitung, The Tribune and other media.
Kononov was editor-in-chief of The Firm's Secret magazine from 2014 to 2017, then its editorial director until 2018.
Kononov is the author of four NF books: Deux Sine Machina: Stories of 20 Crazy People Who Made Business in Russia From Scratch (2011), Code of Durov.
