Presentation of the Russian version of the book “HIV and AIDS: what can we do about that?”
December 1, 2009 – the World AIDS Day - M.I.Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature with the support of the Social and Human Sciences Sectors of the UNESCO Moscow Office and in cooperation with of The Charity Foundation “Tolerance Institute” organized a presentation of the Russian version of the book “HIV and AIDS: WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS?” by K. Spirikin.
This book continues a series of books published earlier in 2007 during the children’s project led by a famous Russian writer Ludmila Ulitskaya “Other, Others, Otherwise”. The book is for children 10-13 years of age, their parents and tutors. It promotes the ideas of tolerance to HIV&AIDS related people and aims to raise awareness on HIV&AIDS and to prevent discrimination among teenagers and their parents as well as education for human rights and fight against HIV related stigma and discrimination.
